2023 Bets on LSU’s Win & Loss

Coming off a breakout first year at LSU — in which his team finished with 10 wins and captured an SEC West title by virtue of an upset over Alabama — coach Brian Kelly will hope to take things to the next level in 2023.

The Tigers bring back a lot of pieces on both offense and defense, including starting quarterback Jayden Daniels and linebacker Harold Perkins, one of the most exciting young defensive players in college football. Some see this as a potential national title-caliber team, but the latest over/under for LSU’s win total from FanDuel is a bit more conservative.

That book has LSU at over/under 8.5 wins. Here’s On3’s breakdown of the Tigers’ odds.

Few teams did more with less than LSU last season, with first-year coach Brian Kelly leading the Tigers to the top of the SEC West standings and an SEC Championship Game appearance in his first year. Quarterback Jayden Daniels is back, as is defensive superstar Harold Perkins. Can the Tigers push past a title game appearance this time?

This over/under is a bit low, considering LSU could hit the over by matching last year’s regular-season finish. Still, playing in the SEC West is never easy, and it would take very consistent play to match last year’s result, even if this team proves to be more experienced and complete.
