Armoni Goodwin – Back at Practice, but Bech is still Considered day-to-day

Armoni Goodwin – Back at practice Tuesday

Goodwin (hamstring) is slated to practice Tuesday with the optimism of suiting up Saturday against Mississippi, Brody Miller of The Athletic reports.

Impact Goodwin has missed the team’s last three games while tending to a hamstring injury, but there’s optimism that the 195-pounder could return for Saturday’s matchup against the Rebels. Across the first four weeks in 2022, Goodwin recorded 34 carries for 198 yards and five touchdowns. If the sophomore tailback can gain medical clearance before the weekend, then Josh Williams and John Emery would likely handle less work on the ground than they were tasked with weeks prior.

Brody Miller of The Athletic reports that Bech is still considered day-to-day with lower back issues.

ANALYSIS
Bech went into Saturday’s game against Florida nursing a back strain, and he appeared to re-aggravate the injury during the contest. On top of that, the sophomore receiver failed to receive a target and muffed a punt in Week 7. If Bech gains medical clearance prior to Saturday’s contest versus Mississippi, he’d likely remain primarily involved on special teams, while Malik Nabers, Kayshon Boutte, Jaray Jenkins and Brian Thomas would expectedly operate as the team’s top pass catchers.
