Auburn’s most redeeming quality in 2022 is what it brings to the table on the defensive line.
Derrick Hall, Colby Wooden, Eku Leota, Marcus Harris, and Jayson Jones have all played at a high level. Hall, Wooden, and Leota have combined for 47 pressures, making them one of the best pass rush trios in the SEC.
Hall and Leota rank first and second in the SEC in stops. LSU has shown improvement on the offensive line, but it hasn’t faced a front like this. Auburn is going to be in the backfield a lot on Saturday night. The LSU offense will need ways to work around it.
CBs Nehemiah Pritchett and D.J. James
Auburn’s pass defense, on the whole, has left some stuff to be desired, but Pritchett and James have proven to be solid pieces at corner. Only LSU’s Mekhi Garner has graded out higher than James at corner. James and Pritchett have combined to force eight incompletions.
