In July, the Tigers had just six commits in their 2023 recruiting class and seemed to be lagging. Now, that class sits at 17 after Kelly added 11 commits, including five-star receiver Jalen Brown from Gulliver Prep in Miami.
LSU isn’t done, but it already has the makings of a solid bump class and currently sits just in the national top 10. With the team in a good position for several uncommitted prospects like five-star Baton Rouge receiver Shelton Sampson Jr., it’s feasible the class could rise even higher.
But as the summer winds down, the Tigers stand @ #10 among the current top-25 recruiting classes in the country.
