LSU Football: What Ed Orgeron was frustrated with the win over McNeese

LSU football left Tiger Stadium with a win on Saturday night, but that doesn’t mean Ed Orgeron was completely thrilled with everything that went down in the win against McNeese State.

The Tigers left a lot to be desired in the 34-7 win.

LSU wasn’t able to run the ball like you’d expect against an FCS opponent.

Averaging 3.5 yards per rushing attempt isn’t going to get it done in SEC play.

Ed Orgeron voices frustrations with offense

Coach O pointed out a couple of specific things that he wants to see changed in the offense moving forward.

For starters, Orgeron doesn’t feel like sophomore wide receiver Kayshon Boutte is getting the ball enough.

Here’s what Coach O said about Boutte after the game on Saturday (via 247Sports):

Orgeron: “Kayshon’s important to us. I’m on the sideline wanting to get him the ball. I want to get him the ball. We ran speed sweep with him, but we need to get more balls to him. We need to get more passes to him. We’ve got to find out why we’re not, what’s going on and he’s got to get more catches.”
