Lewis is rated as a three-star tight end but has good size for the position. Standing at 6’4″ and 235 pounds, he has the frame to play tight end at a high level. Not to mention the sheer number of NFL-caliber tight ends that have played for Denbrock and Kelly, it seems like a no-brainer decision.
Adding Lewis would be big for the LSU Tigers offense. While he isn’t as highly touted as Johnson was, he still brings size to a position that they could use help with. While Jack Bech is technically a tight end, he is more of a receiver. Adding both Lewis and 2022 signee Mason Taylor might allow Denbrock to move Bech around to create mismatches.
