Quarter Season Report Card: Top PFF grades on the team

4.4kViews

The LSU Tigers are a quarter of the way through the season. They are 3-1 with an SEC win under the belt as we head into October. Next up will be the Auburn Tigers. Before we get to that game, we look back at the first month.

While starting 0-1 on the season wasn’t ideal, the team quickly rattled off three straight wins to close the month strongly. The next obstacle will be avenging last season’s loss to Auburn.https://widgets.thescore.com/embeds/5d7e862a-7e1e-499f-84b6-ff7f6e3bda5f/6EF888380E16119D822EAF94830658BB

Through the first four games, it is clear who this team is. On defense, it plays an attacking style when rallying to the football. Daronte Jones has his guys playing bend but don’t break defense. It worked against the Bulldogs on Saturday.

Offensively this is a pass-heavy team. Max Johnson and the offense have needed to go to the air to move the football. Johnson and Kayshon Boutte have already connected on eight touchdown passes this season. That is more than half of Johnson’s touchdown throws (15) on the year.

As we head into Game 5 on the year, here are the top 10 Pro Football Focus graded players for the LSU Tigers.
